I am saddened to learn of Bob's passing. I met Bob professionally then ended up working with him on a contract. I always looked forward to our joint work sessions because Bob would always bring another interesting dimension to the program. He will be missed but he will also be fondly remembered by the many people he touched in his professional and personal life. Good speed my friend.

RIP Bob, you left a beautiful legacy! Honesty and compassion, your time with family and children and grandchildren shown through in your management style. No matter the cost. The highlight of my career was listening to your story at Supervisors training. You never gave up! You spoke the truth no matter the cost. But you could sleep at night. RIP. Thank you for taking the time to mentor me. Pay it forward.

I am so saddened by this loss and I send my condolences to the Trotter family and friends. Working for Bob for a number of years as my director was truly one of the bright and memorable times in my career with U.S. Customs. He was a man of integrity and he was highly respected in the workplace and the trade community. Rest In Peace, Bob.

Bob provided needed leadership during some demanding times at the U.S. Customs Service. He always sought the opinions of his district managers and was a great listener. He was a dynamic and magnetic personality who was liked and respected by all. A terrific manager who is already sorely missed!

condolences to Bobs family.
Met Bob across the negotiatins table a few times. Always found him to be straight shooter and fair minded. The agency lost when he retired. I enjoyed the sessions and I believe his heart was true. I am better for working with him.

I remember meetings where people were talking about complicated things, and Mr. Trotter was bent over and scribbling an intricate spiral doodle. Like he was totally tuned out. Then after a while, he would sit up and ask some very insightful questions. It was just his way. He also came across as a very kind an genuine man.
