Roby Arnold (Keller) Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 12, 2025.
Roby Lee Arnold (Keller) was born on August 27, 1971, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and passed away on May 8, 2025, in Louisburg, Missouri.

In his youth, Roby played soccer for Palmyra High School and enjoyed outdoor pursuits such as trapping, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling. He cherished time spent at the family cabin in upstate Pennsylvania. Roby had a deep affection for animals, especially his dogs and horse. He found joy in simple pleasures-riding his moped, FaceTiming family, and gathering with friends. Known for his infectious laugh and one-of-a-kind sense of humor, he often lit up the room with his big smile and dimples.

Roby made his home in the countryside of Louisburg, Missouri, where he embraced a quiet life surrounded by nature. In 2007, he suffered a traumatic brain injury that left him permanently disabled.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lloyd Keller (1983), and his mother, Eleanor Kay (Wolfe) Gerber (2024). He is survived by his step-father, Daryl Gerber; step-mother, Gail Keller; sister, Marsha Bates (David); brothers, Terry Keller (fiancé Heather), John Arnold (Alicia), and Andrew Arnold (Debra); five children-Brooke, Paige, Samson, Guinevere, and Caleb Arnold; three grandchildren; and beloved nieces and nephews.

At Roby's request, no memorial service will be held. His ashes will be privately laid to rest by two of his siblings in Pennsylvania.

To honor Roby's memory, donations may be made to the Brain Trauma Foundation. https://braintrauma.org/donate

I have so many memories of you as a cute little blonde kiddo, as our families were neighbors for many years. You kids worked hard and played hard. I remember all the sweet corn you kids picked, and that zip line from the fence row to the big maple tree....(and the poison ivy), snowmobiling, the toboggan riding, and so many more memories. I´m glad I got to see you last year at your mom´s service....all grown up, but the same smile.....and the dimples.....
I´m so sorry that you faced many trials in your adult life. Rest easy now Roby.

So many memories growing up beside you, Roby! Remember that snowmobile ride through Mt. Gretna when we had engine issues and got in big trouble for going so far?? And the zip-line that ripped up a leg? Good times. Rest well, Roby.
