Rodney B. Leonard

Rodney B. Leonard, 49, of Honolulu, Hawaii, formerly of Chickasha, died Monday, October 12, 2009, in Honolulu. Rodney was born November 16, 1959, in Chickasha, the son of Esten Leonard and Vera Jean Wood Leonard.He attended Chickasha Public Schools and graduated from Chickasha High School. After high school graduation he attended Oklahoma University and moved to Florida in 1983, where he graduated from South Florida University in Tampa, Florida, with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism. He moved to Seattle, Washington in 1991, where he was employed with AT and T. Rodney transferred to Honolulu with AT and T in 1998, where he has resided until his death. He was preceded in death by grandparents and one uncle. Survivors include his parents, Esten and Vera Jean Leonard, of Chickasha; one brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Peggy Leonard, of Chickasha; three nieces, Lauren Stahler, of Norman, Abigail "Abby" Leonard and Susannah "Susy" Leonard, both of Chickasha. Private interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
