Roisue Phillips Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 22, 2025.
Roisue Phillips, 55, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on August 21, 2025.

Born to Roy & Patricia Phillips in Odessa, TX on December 4, 1969, Roisue was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and unwavering love. Her greatest joy was found in the time she shared with her grandchildren, who brought endless light and happiness to her life.

Her cancer diagnosis never defined her. She never allowed it to stop her from caring for others or giving her best at work as an optical technician at Sam's Club. Roisue loved her patients and the people she worked alongside, building a second family in her workplace.

She also enjoyed playful banter with her sister, Elizabeth, often on Facebook. One of their fondest jokes was Roisue being put in "Facebook jail" for calling Elizabeth a "grasshopper"-a memory that continued to bring laughter to them both.

True to her spirit, Roisue went out in her own way. From the moment she was diagnosed with cancer, she decided she would donate herself to science in hopes of helping others. She faced every step with courage and generosity. To her family, she was a hero-and now she will continue to be a hero to many others.

She leaves behind her daughters, Haley Phillips (Junior Ward), and Hunter Phillips; her mother, Patricia Phillips, and stepfather, Joe Phillips; sisters, Elizabeth Mills (Joseph) and Dolly Yokshas (David); grandchildren, Rayleen, Josilyn, Ariya, Leo, and Eddison; nephews, Philip, John, and Dylan; as well as numerous cousins, friends, and extended family who will cherish her memory always.

Roisue was preceded in death by her father, Roy Phillips, and her son, Justin Phillips.

Just a few photos I have with my mom. She was a jokester. She loved hard and taught me so much. She was a warrior beginning to end. She was my hero and will be one to so many.
