May 14, 1943 - October 5, 2024

Ronald Max McNeece, 81, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024. Born to Helen and Max McNeece on May 14, 1943, Ron embraced life as a devoted family man, educator, and coach, leaving an enduring legacy in each role he fulfilled.

A proud graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1961, and Indiana State University, class of 1965, Ron dedicated 35 years to teaching mathematics and coaching sports. His passion for education and athletics shaped countless young lives, both in his hometown of Vincennes and through his work with the Phoenix Union High School District. His ability to connect with students, whether in the classroom or on the field, earned him admiration and respect from all who knew him.

Ron's greatest joy came from the 60 years he spent with his beloved wife, Carole Ann McNeece, his lifelong partner and constant source of support. Together, they built a loving family, raising three children: Allison McNeece(Marty), Jeff McNeece(Tracy), and Neil McNeece(Monique). He cherished his role as grandfather to Zachary McNeece , Meihana McNeece , Carly McNeece , and Connor McNeece, finding immense pride and happiness in their lives and accomplishments.

In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, Ron is survived by his sister, Kathy Hartsell, as well as extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stillborn son, Ryan, and his sister, Glenda Bedford.

Ron will be fondly remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his love of sports, and his passion for teaching. His vibrant spirit, warm heart, and infectious enthusiasm for life touched all who were fortunate enough to know him. Special thanks are extended to Ron Street and Steve Catt for their companionship and support during Ron's final days.

His legacy will continue in the many lives he influenced and the countless memories he leaves behind. Celebration of life will be held in Vincennes, Indiana at a later date.
