Rosemary Frances McIntyre 1931-2016

Rosemary F. McIntyre passed away on March 5, 2016. She was a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and the daughter of the late Hugh and Francis Gillespie. Rosemary graduated from Hanover Township High School in 1949. She attended Wilkes-Barre Business College and was employed in the accounting department of Pomeroy's in Wilkes-Barre. Rosemary also worked at the Luzerne County Courthouse in the Prothonotary's office. Rosemary married the late Edmund J. McIntyre and they had two sons, Patrick and Joseph. They were loving and dedicated parents. Rosemary was a member of St. Aloysius Parish in Wilkes-Barre where she served as an officer in the Altar and Rosary Society.

Rosemary's son, Patrick, served honorably in the U.S. Army for over 20 years. He married Jeannine and they have four children, Jennifer, Danielle, Christina and Rachel. There are many grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Patrick and Jeannine reside in North Pole, Alaska and New Port Richey, Florida. Joseph is an attorney, residing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Rosemary's siblings are sister, Eileen Merges married to John, residing in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania; brother, William Gillespie and wife Dorothy, both deceased, having resided in Easton, Pennsylvania; brother, James Urban, deceased, and wife Ann of New Jersey; and sisters Margaret Kreitzer, Lillian Mosier Nelson, Agnes Blessing, Eleanor Masteller and Mary Robbins, all deceased. Rosemary had many nieces and nephews.

In 1996, Rosemary relocated from Pennsylvania to South Florida to be close to her son, Joseph. Patrick and Jeannine visited regularly from Alaska. Rosemary loved living in Coral Springs, Florida. She was a member of St. Andrews Parish. She was known to her friends as "Rosie". She had a reverence for family and a kind, gentle and compassionate spirit. She was known for her willingness to help family and friends in any way she could. She wore a smile quite a lot. Rosemary loved her two children, Pat and Joe, beyond measure which is how she is missed.
