Betty and Roy married on June 25, 1953. Together, they raised three children: Ronald, Ray, and Rose Jean Noble.

Roy was also beloved by his grandchildren: Roslynn, McKinley, Robert, and Ryane. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Reginald, Reese, and Lavaughn Noble Jr.

A passionate lover of music (especially jazz), Roy cultivated an impressive record collection over the years, proudly keeping a jukebox in his home. Roy's enthusiasm for music was irresistible, and a quality he passed on to his children, creating a lasting bond through rhythm and melody that continues to echo through generations.

Typically seen with his bucket-hat-and-towel ensemble or trademark Marina City Club apparel, Roy was always well-prepared for the moment. Knowing the importance of capturing memories, Roy made it his mission to carry a seemingly endless supply of film and cameras. And course, Roy loved having his trusty camcorder for family gatherings.

Sporting a pristine white beard during his older years, Roy was hilariously often mistaken for Santa Claus during the holidays (and even, on at least one occasion, the local news). To his family's endless delight, it wasn't unusual for Roy to sit on a bench while his grandchildren played, only for other young kids to form a line and ask him for Christmas presents.

Roy's charisma and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was not only a wonderful husband and father, but also a beloved grandfather who cherished taking his grandchildren on adventures to museums, concerts, plays, amusement parks, and always the beach. His presence was a source of joy and comfort; Roy gave freely of his time and love.

Betty and Roy's union was one of enduring love and partnership. May their memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved them. We will always carry Roy in our hearts, and we will never be the same without him.
