RUSSELL LLOYD Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 28 to Dec. 29, 2013.
LLOYD
RUSSELL H.
Age 65, of Upper St. Clair, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day 2013, at home surrounded by his family, after enduring a long battle with dementia. Beloved husband of 36 years to Linda (Dezenrick) Lloyd; loving father of Justin H. Lloyd and Ashley E. Myers and her husband, Wayne; son of the late Russell and Evelyn Lloyd. Russell was a graduate of Penn State University and was an avid Nittany Lions football fan. He retired from LTV Steel in 2002 after 32 years of service. He was an active member of Big Brothers Big Sisters and was proud of the special relationship he had for over 40 years with brother, John Murphy. While he was dedicated to his career at LTV, Russell was happiest when spending time with family and friends and supporting his children at all their activities. Arrangements entrusted to BEINHAUERS (724-941-3211). Friends are invited to attend his Service on Monday at 11 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Rd., Bethel Park, PA 15102 (everyone please meet at church). Memorial donations may be made to Family Hospice & Palliative Care, 50 Moffett St., Pgh., PA 15243, Christ United Methodist Church or to a charity of your choice. Please add tributes at:

Linda and family,
My sympathies go out to you but I am sure you are overflowing with fond memories of Russ; I know I am. I had the pleasure of working with Russ at LTV Steel and always enjoyed those times. I remember how he would beam with pride when talking about his children. Russ was a good man and will be missed. God bless you.

Dear Linda and Family, May you find peace knowing that Russ is with his Lord. We will always remember how he had a passion for running and never let the weather stop him....I am sure he lived his life with the same vigor. Blessing to you and your family.
