OTTUMWA — A public viewing and visitation with the family will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton.Sally J. Clark, the daughter of Arthur Stockdall and Ethel Huit was born February 19, 1948 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She attended Oskaloosa elementary school before moving to Ottumwa, Iowa with her parents.She continued to live in Ottumwa until moving to Newton Iowa in 1972. On Aug. 28, 1973, in Newton, Iowa, Sally was united in marriage to Billy E. Clark. They continued to live in Newton. Sally worked for FBG Service Corporation as a maintenance worker at the Maytag Company in Newton. Sally was a member of the Methodist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling to casinos to try her luck gambling.On Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, Sally, age 59, died in the Monarch Wing at Skiff Medical Center in Newton, Iowa.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy E. Clark in 1987; four brothers, Arthur Stockdall, Roland Stockdall, Jerald Stockdall and Floyd Stockdall; and two sisters, Betty Fortne and Linda Stockdall.Those left to honor the memory of Sally include her significant other, Gary Phelps of Newton; two sons and daughter-in-law, Terry A. Clark of Newton and Jeff D. (Shawna) Clark of Newton; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly R. (Victor) Hershey of Nevada, Iowa; four grandchildren, Dustin, Lacey, Ceaira and Shyann; three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Isaiah and Kaden; and two brothers, Donny Lee Stockdall and Michael Stockdall.Obituary may be viewed at: www.legacy.com/ottumwacourier/Obituaries.asp
