Salvatore Puleo, age 94, surrounded by his loving family, peacefully passed away on May 6th, 2021 (one month shy of his 95th birthday). Beloved husband of Silvana (née D'Amico). Loving father of Anthony and his wife Joanne and Monsignor Edward C. Puleo. Cherished grandfather of Steven (Jennifer), Taryn and Joseph. Devoted great grandfather of Nicholas, Alyssa and Avah. Dear brother of Maria DiVerde and her late husband Giovanni, Peter Puleo and his wife Frances, and the late Angelina Crino (Mariano), Ninetta Pino (Giuseppe), Giuseppa Baressi (Salvatore), Rosa Puleo and Mariano Puleo. Beloved son-in-law of the late Arduino and Maria D'Amico. Salvatore is survived by his adored sister-in-law Johanna D'Amico and many nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbors and friends here in the United States as well as in Italy, Germany and Australia.

Salvatore was born to Antonino and Carmela Puleo in NYC but would return to the home of his parents in Messina, Sicily and live there until the age of 20 when he returned. He loved his Catholic faith and his family and took great pride in the care of his garden, most especially his fig trees.

Salvatore will repose in the Church of St. Brigid located at 129 Main Street in Peapack, NJ on Tuesday, May 11th from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. His Funeral Mass will be offered by his son at 11:30 AM. Entombment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.

Due to the regulations surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic Salvatore's Visitation and Funeral Mass will be restricted. Please keep him in your prayers. Salvatore's Funeral Mass will be live-streamed at www.saintEB.org for those who cannot attend.
