Samuel Mundt Obituary
In 1973, Sam became a member of the Los Angeles City Fire Department where he served the people of Los Angeles with honor and integrity for over 34 years. He loved his firefighter Brothers and Sisters with all his heart.
Sam enjoyed playing golf, boating in Havasu, doing projects in his garage, off-roading, cruising in his jeep, and having a great time with family and friends.
Sam had a beautiful soul, a huge heart, and he was an all around loving man. We know there is a new star in the sky watching over all of us. We will miss him terribly, but he will remain in our hearts forever.

Sherry Sorry for your loss and the loss of everyone else who who knew Sam. I never got to work with Sam but feel like we have lost a close friend. Memories of Sam will always be a part of the Mesquite golf tournament and all the fun he brought with him when he came to play. What a nice man to have the privilege of knowing. Sam always wore a smile and we were fortunate to have been his friends. We enjoyed off-roading, boating, and Havasu gatherings with him and Sherry, and we will always treasure those memories! Our thoughts are with you, Sherry, in this difficult time...

I am proud to say that I was a friend of Sam and his family. Sherry, we are so sorry and our hearts are also broken. Sam was a good friend. I first met him in 1975 and always enjoyed our times together. He will be sorely missed. May God continue to Bless you and the kids. What a great family.

Even though you are my brother-in-law, I always greeted you as Uncle Sam. You were always so kind to me. You drove us all up to Sonoma State University--and remember the flat tire on a dark dark road. You helped me buy a new Impala in 2003. You helped us clean out a rat-infested attic. You glued together my grandmother's heirloom dresser/mirror frame. You made the best potatoes ever. I could go on and on. I miss you. I was out yesterday and saw you everywhere I looked. A man in shorts, a man with white as snow hair like yours. Rest in Peace, 'Uncle' Sam--You are loved!

Sam was one of the kindest men I have ever known. Since 1959 I can't remember a cross word or an unkind comment. Our conversations were always light-hearted and funny and I will miss him. My thoughts are with his daughters, Sherry, their families and everyone who knew and loved this remarkable man.
