SANDRA RAE WHITFIELD ANDREWS, 75, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, in Fort Wayne. Born in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Elmer Ray and Dorothy Whit field. Sandra raised her family in Cary, N.C. where she was a member of Greenwood Forest Baptist Church. Her family then moved to Roanoke, Va., and eventually to Fort Wayne in 1991. She worked as an executive secretary for ITT, retiring in 2003. Sandra will be remembered as a loving wife and a genteel Southern Belle who was both professional and caring to all. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. James "Ed" Andrews, Jr. of Fort Wayne; her children, Jeff (Jennifer) Antley of New Hill, N.C. and Susan Raye Antley of Charlotte, N.C.; and four grandchildren, Christopher (Stephanie), John Ethan, Jason, and Juliet; great-granddaughter, Isla Rose; and brother, John (Tara) Whitfield of Columbia, S.C. Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at Fairhaven Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. To sign the online guestbook visit www.fairhavenfortwayne.com
