Sandra Lofman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 18, 2025.
Mrs. Sandra Lynn "Sandye" Lofman (née Konell), age 67, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, surrounded by family at home, in Marinette, Wisconsin, the city where she was born on April 25, 1958.

A lifelong resident of Marinette, Sandye graduated from Marinette High School before pursuing her passion for nursing at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC), where she earned her credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse with a concentration in Geriatrics. Her dedication to caring for others defined her professional life and left a lasting impact on the many lives she touched throughout her career.

Sandye's nursing journey began at Larson's Nursing Home in Peshtigo and continued with Dr. John Briody private practice in Marinette. She later served at The Luther Home in Marinette before concluding her career with the U.P. Health System in Menominee, Michigan. Her compassion and commitment to elder care were evident in every role she held.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sandye was known for her vibrant personality and generous spirit. She was outgoing and deeply caring-traits that endeared her to all who knew her. Sandye married the love of her life, Chuck, and together they built a family filled with love and laughter. She took pride in her two children, Jonathan and Allison, and found great joy in being a grandmother to Edwin and Ethan.

Sandye embraced life fully. She loved camping and exploring new places through travel. A creative soul, she enjoyed crafting projects that reflected her warmth and imagination. Crossword puzzles were another favorite pastime-an activity that showcased both her sharp mind and playful curiosity.

She is lovingly remembered by her brother Terrance "Terry" Konell and his wife Cheryl Desotell Konell, Oak Creek, Wisconsin, and niece, Laura Gonzales, Oklahoma, and nephew Jesse Konell, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald "Ronnie" Konell and Lucille "Lucy" Konell, as well as numerous beloved aunts and uncles.

Her memory will live on through those who knew and loved her-may it bring comfort to all whose lives she touched. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Red Brick Tavern 801 Main Street in Marinette.
