SANDRA MEED Obituary
1961 - 2015
Sandra "Sunshine" passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Predeceased by her parents, Charles Dirksen and Dorothy Waite, Sandra is survived by her husband John; children, Bradley Bucsis, Robert Bucsis, Ashley Bucsis; stepchildren, Jim Meed, Crystal Meed; step- grandchildren, Taylor Meed-Sim, Ethan Meed; and siblings Gloria (Brian) Jones, Rick (Bev) Dirksen, Steve Dirksen, Jeff (Jeanette) Dirksen. Sandra radiated a positive outlook all through her life and has been a source of strength for others. Her mission in life was to make other people happy and to feel good about themselves. She was a dedicated mother to her children and stepchildren and a devoted wife to her husband John. One of Sandra's passions was the scout movement and she spent many years involved in Beaver Scouts. Known as "Sunshine", her whimsical nature and love of crafts endeared her to the kids and other leaders. A Celebration of Sandra's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Lumsden Centennial Hall, Lumsden, SK.

Sandy was my first friend when I moved to Regina at the beginning of grade nine. We had many laughs and great times back then and those memories have and will remain with me forever. It has been many years since I saw any of you but Jeff, Rick, Steve please know that the wonderful times I had with your sister, I have never forgotten. I feel privileged to have been her friend.
To John and the kids, I never met you, but please know that I feel your sorrow in my heart.
The pain of losing one that you love so much is unimaginable, there is no way to measure how much you will miss her.
Know that you are all in my thoughts and my prayers.

Although I didn't know Sandra that well, my son, Zachary knew her very well through Scouts. She was his Beaver Leader and a personal friend for the past 8 years. He only ever referred to her as "Sunshine". She has made a very positive impact on Zach, so thank you for being a part of my sons life. Thoughts are with the family.

Sandra will be missed so much.Her love for life and infectious smile and laughter made all of use better people just being around her. When I think of Sandra, I think back to the Scouters Conference at Fort San and the fun we had with Sandra (and others) with the haunted house tour. I'm sure your spirit will always be with us. Maybe you will get us back for scaring you. LOL. And NO we did not put any snakes in the room. Always fond memories.
