Sara Elizabeth Copeland, 56, Arab, Alabama, died Nov. 15, 2004, at Huntsville Hospital.Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at Arab First Baptist Church. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at Arab First Baptist Church, Arab, Ala. Officiating at the funeral will be Dr. Paul Murphy and Brother Roger Houston. The body will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, in Old Bethel Cemetery, Leighton, Ala., in Colbert County.She was born Feb. 14, 1948, in Colbert County, Ala. She was a homemaker, an employee of RSVP Marshall County and was a member of Arab First Baptist Church.She is survived by her husband, Lucian Copeland, Arab; sons, Derrick Copeland, Madison, Ala., Dustin Copeland, Madison, Ala.; daughter, Deanna Bagwell, Huntsville, Ala.; brothers, Dempsey Johnson, Muscle Shoals, Don Johnson, Littleville, Ala.; four grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her father, Burl Johnson; mother, Jewel Bradford Johnson; and sister, Martha Johnson.Pallbearers will be Gary Johnson, Joey Johnson, Charles Copeland Jr., Hudson Copeland, Shane Copeland, Glen Copeland, Eric Michael, James Copeland, Kent Sandiege, Lamar Ray, Derek Bagwell, Korey Collins and Stephen Beard.In lieu of flowers, make donations to The Liz Hurley Foundation or First Baptist Church of Arab Music Ministry.
