Dear Kiernan Family,
My prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family. To his kids, your Dad was and will always be a amazing. He spoke about and loved them so much.
I had the privelage of knowing Scott a long time. He was my friend my confident, my work partner at times and mentor. I am saddened by the news of his passing and I have to believe he is smiling down on all of us now, watching and protecting us as Scott always did. Probably playing football, and making a great meal for new and old friends alike. That was just what he did.
He will be missed and the world lost a great person too soon.
He was a really great Man and I hope you will always keep that close to you.
Your Forever in my memories and heart Scott.
Rest In Peace my friend.

So sorry for the Kiernan family on the loss of a tremendous person!!!
I attended The Gunnery with Scott (both in our first year) and we immediately hit it off and became great friends. Fortunately, I got on his good side right away as you didnt want to see his mean competitive streak! (Especially, with me being the smallest guy on campus and him being the biggest.)From day one he was a gentle giant who loved dip and playing cards as much as I did. So we hit it off right away and hed invite me over after hours (hed always have me sneak over cause he said everyone could see him cause hes so big and nobody would see me cause I was so small), to play Rummy 500. Wed put dips in and play for hours and wait for the guys in the dorm to sneak out and see their girls. As soon as guys would get about ten feet outside Scott would shine his huge flashlight on the person and force them to run zig zag through the quad and jump in the bushes. Wed sit there and laugh our butts off and once you heard that big old chuckle come from that big belly it was contagious and we wouldnt stop for hours. And then Id have to pay him $5 that I won off him in Rummy to promise to keep the light off me while I snuck back to my dorm. Man, he really was the best! We lost touch after college but Ill always remember that kid for the rest of my life!!!
Im glad I had the chance to know him!!!
Im currently in Louisiana and didnt know he passed but if I knew I would have been there!
God bless!

Scott & Rebecca were some of the first people I met when I moved to Florida. I quickly developed a great friendship with Scott that revolved around sports and food. Scott helped me out during one of the roughest times in my life. In the past year I came to know Scott as one of my closest friends. My deepest sympathies to Rebecca, Kay and the rest of his family.

Dear Kiernan Family, I am so sorry Scott's life was cut short, I can still remember the sound and vision of Scott hitting a homerun when we played little league together, the ball seemed to sore forever. He was an amazing person and I have bragged to many people about his football exploits, I was proud just to be from the same town. He may be gone but his spirit lives on through all of us that were fortunate to know him. Sending love from California.
Warmest Regards,
Rich Pace
