Scott Anthony Murphy

Scott Anthony Murphy, 35, passed away unexpectedly August 8, 2025 in Rogue River, Oregon. He was born February 14, 1990 in Stockton, California to Patrick Joseph and Josephine Lucille (Goonan) Murphy.

Scott had a deep love for his Catholic faith, his family, and the beauty of God's creation. He especially enjoyed spending time at the gym, hiking and being in nature, and listening to music. Scott also had an overwhelmingly generous heart. Even if he had only his last few dollars in his pocket, he would give them to someone in need, and he delighted in finding thoughtful little gifts to give others.

Scott is survived by his parents, Patrick and Josephine; his siblings, Jessica Jo, Jennifer Jo, Sean Patrick, Jamie Jo Aurora, Paul Joseph, Brian Francis, Julianna Marie, JoAnn Marie, Mary Amelia, Kevin Thomas and David Matthew; as well as many beloved nephews and nieces, brothers- and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His Funeral Mass will be on Monday, August 25th at 2:00 PM at St. Anne Catholic Church (1131 NE 10th St, Grants Pass, Oregon), preceded by the Rosary at 1:15 PM.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, with a reception in the parish hall afterward. If you'd like to bring a side dish or dessert to share, it would be appreciated.
