Selma Wine Obituary
She was born on April 1, 1930 to the late Robert Lipman and Polly Stuple.
Selma was a devoted wife to Harold Hudson Wine, who preceded her in death on May 2, 2002.
Selma was a wonderful homemaker and mother and helped her husband run several successful businesses throughout their married life.
She was a longtime member of Salem Lutheran Church in Mt. Sidney, Virginia, where she worked tirelessly in her women's circle. Selma was known for being a great cook, along with her beautiful smile and her love of conversation.
In addition to her husband, Selma is preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Brenda Wine Hawkins.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Powers and husband, Tom, Melanie Smith and husband, Frank, her grandchildren, Angela Harrelson and husband, Andy,
Shane Caudill and wife, Sara, Ash Powers and wife, Elina, Jaclyn Elbin and husband, Kurt. Selma has 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her half brother, Barry Lipman.
Selma has donated her body to science. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Lutheran Church Special Projects Fund or to Salem Women's Organization of the ELCA, P. O. Box 38, Mt. Sidney, VA 24467.
