Sharon Cannon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 31, 2025.
Sharon Fay Lee Cannon was born on July 30, 1959, born to Herman and Alice Lee, in Los Angeles, California. Both parents preceded her in death.

In 1977, Sharon graduated from George Washington High School in Los Angeles, California and continued her education at San Jose State University where she earned a Bachelor degree in Business Management in 1981.

She started her career at Union Carbide Corporation in marketing/sales and went on to continue her career in sales at Bayer/ Winthrop Corporation. Sharon flourished in her sales career achieving numerous high achievement awards. She had a God given talent in public speaking and excelled in her approach of presenting the company's products.

In 1985, Sharon married her high school sweetheart Damon Daryll Lynn Cannon (who preceded her in death). They were married for 33 years. From this blessed union came two sons, Devin Cole (29) and Cameron Lee (24).

As a mother, Sharon entered a new chapter of her life with boundless love. Staying at home and raising both of her sons gave her heartwarming joy. Sharon was an exemplary mother to her sons. She was loving, nurturing, caring, and raised them to be strong and resilient men. She also enjoyed volunteering at their schools and community services.

A woman of deep faith, Sharon lived her life grounded in the love of the Lord. She was a praying woman, attended several women's bible study groups, and was proud to speak about God to others. Sharon deeply loved people, touching many lives by offering guidance, wisdom, and encouragement. Sharon's favorite pastimes were spending time with family and friends, traveling, shopping, and cooking. She was a fantastic cook! Some of her many mouthwatering dishes were prime rib, greens, and red velvet cake. Most would attest that her red velvet cake was unmistakably "The Best they've ever had," and will forever be her signature creation.

Sharon will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished friend. She was unwavering in her dedication to her sons. Sharon and Damon's number one priority for their sons was to instill God-given values necessary for a prosperous and meaningful life. Watching them achieve academic excellence in their fields of study and attending their athletic events were the highlights of her life.

Sharon Fay Lee Cannon is survived by her sons, Devin and Cameron, Paula (sister), Mark (brother), along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her legacy will carry on with Devin and Cameron, "Mom, you will be forever cherished in our hearts."

A closed casket viewing, with photos of Sharon on display, will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery Monday April 7th from 3-7 PM 21300 Via Verde St, Covina, CA 91724.

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Tuesday, April 8th, 10 AM at Magnolia Church in Riverside California 8351 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504 followed by a reception.

Sharon's final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Covina, California.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Sharon Cannon. Sharon was such a kind and loving woman, and I feel truly blessed to have shared so many special moments with her - from our dinners to our girl time together. Joe and I will miss her dearly.

We first met when Sharon and her family moved next door to us from California to Olney. Having made the same move a year earlier, we supported each other through the adjustment and quickly formed a wonderful bond.

I will especially miss the sweet holiday texts she would send - they never failed to brighten my day. Sharon´s warmth and kindness will always be remembered. Our hearts go out to Devin, Cameron, and all who loved her. We love you Sharon.

With deepest sympathy,
Joe and Yolie Robledo

My sincerest condolences to Devin, Cameron, and entire family. My son Dallas was on the same high school football team (Blake Bengals) with Devin in 2012-2013. That year was the first time in Blake history that the football team made playoffs. Sharon was one of the 2 Football parents who coordinated meals and was the liaison between the parents and coaches. I helped with preparations of meals for home games and got to know Sharon more intimately. I found her to be, kind, considerate, compassionate and selfless.
Devin and Cameron, I pray that you will continue be the men your father and mother raised you to be and you too will get to pass on their legacy.

Much Love
Ms. Diana Wilson

Sharon & I met in 1986 as colleagues @ Winthrop Consumer Products. We became fast friends & remained so for almost 40 years. As life goes, we would go months & months without talking. BUT when we did finally connect we picked up like we just talked the previous day. Our friendship was easy & I loved her dearly. She was a great & earnest listener. She was a great Mom!!! And she & Damon were an excellent team!
May the healing power of memory visit us all in quite moments & the sorrow & sadness we all feel be softened by the memories of the time we shared & were blessed with Sharon in our lives.
Devin & Cameron we love you & we know your hearts are broken. We are here for you!

Dear Cannon Family, words cannot express how sorry we are for your loss. They say time will heal but this is really unbearable. We met the Cannon´s when they moved from California to Olney. We became close friends and our boys played football together. and we bonded over our love we had for family. Sharon was one of a kind, a devoted Mother, Wife and friend. She was kind and lived a life of faith. She was the cornerstone of the family. While our hearts are heavy we know her time here on earth was a joy and blessing. To Devin and Cameron, take comfort knowing that she is with your dad in heaven and always in your hearts forever. We love you and are here for you always. We will miss her more than words can say. Anything you need we are here for you. God bless her beautiful heart, we know she´s in God´s care. We love you all Love, Mark Sr, Karen, Mark Jr and Max.
