Sharon A. Guthier, 63, of Averill Park, was called to Heaven Tuesday morning, October 22, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born, alongside her beloved twin sister Susan on October 20, 1961 and lived her entire life in Averill Park, NY on land owned by her family for generations. Following her graduation from Averill Park High School, she attended Hudson Valley Community College and graduated with a degree in Nursing. She spent the next 35 years serving as a nurse at Leonard Hospital, Samaritan Hospital, Albany Medical Center, and lastly St. Peters, alongside her sister. Sharon loved to visit the beach with her sons, scuba diving, finding rare shells, and saving sea turtles. She was an avid crafter, kayaker, gardener, and caretaker of her sweet dog Daisy and her wild deer family. Sharon enjoyed frequent visits to her camp in Maine along with her beloved Mark. Her unwavering bond with Susan was a testament to the special connection between twins, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of the many who loved her.

Sharon is the daughter of the late Robert Hogle and Annabell Brand Hogle. She will be missed immensely by her best friend and partner Mark Lounsbury. She was a dedicated mother to David (Casey Lemons) Guthier, and Steven (Vanessa) Guthier. Loving twin sister and other half to Susan (Scott) Clemens, and predeceased by her big brother Roger. Sharon also leaves behind the greatest joy of her life, her granddaughter, Ariel. She is further survived by her former spouse Vincent Guthier, sister in law Ann (the late Roger) Hogle, nephews and nieces, Daniel (Kristina) Hogle, Dustin Hogle, Suzanne (Mark) Fenzl, Stephanie (Christopher) Dobert, Stephen (Rachel) Clemens, and additional shared grandchildren of her twin sister, Kaiden, Luke, Makenzie, and Finn. Sharon and Susan were 1 of 4 sets of identical twins in our class. Their parents actually had the same birthday as our parents including our mothers born on leap year. She will be missed and we will remember the loving side of her.RIP. From Donny and Danny Clarke

Sharon was someone you immediately liked. She had a strong love for her family. I believe she was one of God's angels here on earth. She was a kind & wonderful person. We laughed & cried together. I'm thankful that God brought her into Mark's life and into our family. We had the same strong family values. I enjoyed hearing about her family. My heart is with all her family, including Daisy. I know she will be terribly missed.
