Sharon Marshall Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 26, 2025.
Sharon Marshall passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025 in Fallon, Nevada after battling a short illness. Sharon was born on May 21, 1948 to Ernest and Maxine Pereira in Hawthorne, Nevada where she lived the majority of her life before moving to Fallon in 2018.

In high school, she met the love of her life, Larry Marshall. They married in December 1965 and recently celebrated an incredible 60 years together. They welcomed their first daughter Kristie in 1966 and their youngest Teri followed shortly thereafter in 1967.

Sharon's world revolved around her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, staying home to care for Kristie and Teri until they started school. In 1972, she began her career at Mt. Grant General Hospital as a medical biller and later took on a part-time role as an X-ray technician. She dedicated 35+ years to the hospital.

She loved spending time in the great outdoors, making cherished memories on countless adventures with family and friends. Many of their annual trips were spent camping, going to Walker Lake, and enjoying their cabin in Reese River-memories she held close to her heart. Later in life, she found joy in traveling to the Oregon coast, Alaska, Hawaii, and even South Dakota with her family and friends.

Sharon had a passion for crafting. She was well known for the beautiful arrangements she created out of her home over the years, putting her creativity and heart into every piece.

In her 76 years, Sharon touched the lives of so many with her kindness and love, she was a true lady. Of all her life's accomplishments, the one she cherished most was being called "Grandma." She never missed a milestone in her grandchildren's lives and loved them all dearly. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Maxine Pereira and her in-laws Charles and Pearl Marshall.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 60 years, Larry Marshall; her children Kristie (Tom) Weddell and Teri (Kevin) Gage; grandchildren Sydnee (Derek) Sammaripa, Kaycee Weddell, Madison Gage, and Conner Gage; great grandchildren Bryson Sammaripa and Callen Sammaripa; siblings Melvin Pereira, Joyce Gabrilska, Lloyd Pereira, and James O'Brien; brother and sister in laws Ronnie (Jean) Marshall, Vicki (Mike) Rice; and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

A graveside service will be held in Hawthorne, Nevada on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with a celebration of life to follow at Barlow's Ranch, Walker Lake.

I´ll always remember Sharon as my best friend. We grew up together and experienced fun things and visited places. We giggled for hours on sleep overs and shared so many secrets. I´ll always love you. In my heart forever .
