Sharonann Rodgers Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 13, 2025.
Sharonann Rodgers, née Young, passed away on June 4, 2025, in Tacoma, Washington. She was 78 years old.

Born on March 1, 1947, in Seattle, Washington, Sharonann spent her formative years in the Pacific Northwest. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon, in 1965 and went on to pursue a career as a medical assistant. Throughout her professional life, she dedicated herself to supporting the health and well-being of others with care and commitment.

Sharonann was the beloved daughter of Rhea Young and Rosemary Metoyer, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is remembered with love by her children: Harold "Jay" Rodgers (Debbie), Heather Rodgers, Heidi Hernandez (Bryon), Michael Rodgers (Trina), and Kimberly Pacheco (Simone). Her legacy also lives on through her three grandchildren: Gabriel Hernandez, Elena Hernandez, and Aiden Pacheco.

In her personal life, Sharonann found joy in simple pleasures. She had a deep fondness for animals and especially enjoyed visiting her daughter's farm. A devoted fan of Harry Potter, she took delight in the magical world of the series. Watching "The Price is Right" brought her daily comfort and entertainment.

In later years, Sharonann faced Alzheimer's disease with quiet strength and resilience. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to those who supported her during this time: the staff at Joy Givers Adult Family Home for providing a safe and secure environment during her final years; Dr. Tanya Posa with Kaiser Permanente for managing her care; the staff at Allenmore Hospital for their assistance during a critical transition; Envision Hospice for ensuring her comfort in her final hours; and the compassionate team at Cascade Park Gardens who cared for Sharonann in her last days.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
