Socorro Mendez Obituary
Visitation with Rosary will be held on the 18th of May, 2018, from 5pm to 9pm, at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held the following day, the 19th of May, 2018, 2pm, at Calvary Hill North Chapel, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220. Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220. Arrangements are by Calvary Hill Funeral Home
Socorro Mendez was born in Lockhart, Texas to Socorro Mendez Sr. and Francisca Hinojosa on the 22nd of December, 1938.
He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys football team and the San Antonio Spurs basketball team.
Socorro Mendez is survived by three daughters, Juanita Solis married to Roger Solis, Norma Mendez Rose Vanegas married to Deleon Vanegas. Eight grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Socorro Mendez is preceded in death by one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Deleon Vanegas, Deleon Vanegas Jr., Ruben Tavera, Ryan Brichant, Pete Escobedo, Alfonso Munoz III
