Stephanie Barrett Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 2, 2024.
Stephanie "Steph" Barrett (née Rawson), aged 50, of Sterling, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on July 27, 2024. Born on August 3, 1973, in Marlborough, Massachusetts, Stephanie's life was marked by her genuine humility, kindness, and a smile that touched everyone she met.

Stephanie graduated from Hudson High School and continued her education at Assabet Valley Technical School. After graduation she pursued a career as a licensed nail technician, delighting her clients with her skill and warm conversations for over 28 years. For the past 10 years, she dedicated herself to the food service department at Wachusett Regional School District, where she formed great friendships with co-workers who became dear friends.

Steph found joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing quiet moments spent reading and also socializing or chatting with her close-knit circle of friends. Stephanie's friendships encompassed all aspects of life, and each was so very special to her. Her greatest pride, however, was her family. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Jason Barrett; sons, Joshua and Caleb Barrett; a brother, Ronald Rawson; a sister, Tammy Rawson; her brother-in-law, Jeramie Barrett and his wife Jody of Holden, MA; her sister-in-law Christy LaPrade and her husband Bill of South Boston, MA as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and Ronald Sr.

Stephanie embraced life. She was genuine and loved deeply. She was thoughtful and would do anything for anyone. She was our shoulder to cry on, our steadfast listener, our reliable supporter and our unwavering most loyal friend. We were so fortunate to have her and our memories of her will always remain with us.

A celebration of Stephanie's life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Elks of 99 Park Street, Hudson, MA, honoring her preference over traditional ceremonies.

One year later...
the ache still there,
And so it´s the love,
I still think about you ...
I still miss you...
Not a day goes by that you are not in our hearts..
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
