Yesterday I got a chance to check my email here in Iraq, and found out that two of my friends had died. Stephanie and Rachael had both stayed in contact with me after DSI and even wrote me during basic training. I hadnt gotten much of a chance to write them, and now this. It hurts knowing I wont be able to see them when I come home. I pray for all the friends and family that are suffering right now. I know they impacted many peoples lives, including mine.

May God Bless And Comfort You
By: Charles G. Turner, Sr.
At times like this when we don’t know what to do
Just talk to God and he will see you through
When words sometimes just won’t do and you don’t know what to say
Just talk to God and let him have his way
When friends and family come and go
Just remember that God has an open door
At times like this when words alone won’t do
May God bless and comfort you

As you well know God has a plan. I do not know your girls but as a fellow Christian know they are in a better place holding hands and singing to the Lord.
May peace come to your other girls as well as you as parents. Our prayers are for you to feel peace soon. The girls are in the safest place they could be. Someday to be joined by us all. Peace be with you in your days to come.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

To Family & Friends
My Heart go out to you. It's so sad to lose a love one.But it's comforting to know that Almighty God knows and feels your pain. That is why he has given us his word to comfort us. (Psalms 34:18) assures us,'He is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.' He is "the God of all comfort"(2Corinthians 1:3). Just pour out your heart felt feeling to him.For he promise at Psalm 55:22 'Throw your burden upon him and he WILL sustain you,'He is "the GOD of love".(1John 4:8)May your memories of Stephanie along with prayer help you throw the days ahead.

My heart goes out to Stephanie's family & friends knowing that you have a double loss. 2 Cor. 1:3 & 4 says: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those in any sort of tribulation through the comfort with which we ourselves are being comforted by God." Almighty God comforts us with the hope of the resurrection knowing that death is not forever, thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ. Psalm 37:10 & 11 assures us that: "And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." At this glorious time we will all have our loved ones returned to us to live life the way it was meant to be lived when mankind was first created. May this hope bring you a measure of peace in your hearts.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
