Steven Shaw

Steven Shaw, beloved son, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at his sister's home on Wednesday March 26th, 2025 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 75. Born to Lawrence and Pat Shaw, who loved him deeply. Steve was the eldest of four siblings, a loving big brother to Curt and twin sisters Dana and Diana.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Steve carried the values of service throughout his life. Steve was a familiar sight everywhere he went, known for his warm smile, signature sunglasses, and ponytail. Everyone who met him felt his genuine warmth. His love for music spanned genres, from classic rock to smooth jazz, and in his later years, he developed an appreciation for classical music. Painting was a passion of his, and he dedicated himself to his art therapy program, often gifting his artwork to those he cared about. A true Clevelander, Steve had unwavering loyalty to his city's sports teams and made that known to everyone he crossed paths with.

He leaves behind a legacy marked by kindness, compassion, and a deep love for animals, especially dogs, who brought him immense joy. He was a true friend to all creatures, big and small, and will be greatly missed by family, friends, and the furry companions he cherished.

Above all, Steve valued his family. He is survived by his two children, Brittany and Drew, who were his pride and joy, as well as his four grandchildren who brought him endless happiness. He also leaves behind his beloved dog and two granddogs, who held a special place in his heart.

Steve's kindness, humor, and artistic spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the music played, and the love he gave so freely.

A celebration of Steve's life will be held privately at a later date.
