Stuart Thompson Macadam passed away peacefully on December 24, 2017 at the age of 90. He is survived by his son Donald (Leslie), his grandson Jeffery (Heather), granddaughter Allison (Michael), great-grandchildren Tatum, Claire and Seth, all from St. Albert, Alberta, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Virda, in 2001 and his son, Edward, in 2017. Stuart was born on a farm near North Battleford, SK. Where he grew up and later joined the army during WWII. After leaving the army he joined the International Harvester Co. Motor Truck Division, where he worked for 45 years in various levels of senior management. That took him and his family to Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, Winnipeg, North Delta and Surrey, BC, where he retired and had resided until his passing.
A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the Arbor Chapel of Valley View Funeral Home 14660 72 Ave, Surrey, BC V3S2S7.
