HARRADINE, Susan (Sue) Elizabeth
November 27, 1966 to November 6, 2012
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Sue after a long and brave battle with breast cancer. Sue faced her final challenge the same way she lived her life, with strength, courage, determination, gentle but strong, thoughtful and serious, and with her great sense of humour. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her parents Gloria & Walter (Bud) Harradine, brother Brent, nephews Gage and Riley, and niece Jessica. Sue was predeceased by her brother David. Sue also leaves behind a strong and truly remarkable network of cherished friends. Sue was a dedicated call-taker and dispatcher with almost 20 years of service with E-Comm. She started her career with the Richmond RCMP in May 1993 and transitioned to E-Comm in January 2003. E-Comm was a big part of Sue's life and she was very well known for her passion and dedication to emergency services. Sue was born in Surrey BC but loved the North Shore and called it home. Sue adored life and had an amazing passion for dogs and the outdoors. She was also extremely passionate about her Vancouver Canucks! Sue was known for her humour, her big laugh, her keen insight and her huge heart. Although there are many special people in Sue's life, she asked that a few extra- special people be thanked for all their friendship, support and love. They include (but are not limited to) the incredible group of people at Callanish, the amazing staff at the Lion's Gate Hospital Cancer Clinic and friends Laura, Marlene, Cathy and Turtle. You all made Sue feel so welcome, supported and cared for. A very special thank you to Dr. Paul Sugar for his tender and compassionate care. A memorial service to celebrate Sue's life will be held Saturday, November 24th at 2pm at the Lonsdale Quay Hotel Ballroom. Sue has asked that her ashes be scattered at Quarry Rock in Deep Cove in the spring (date TBA).
