Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Western Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Patterson officiating. Burial: Waco Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 45230 Bosque, Waco.
Memorials: Midway Boosters Club (www.midwayisd.org) on Susan's behalf.
Susan was born July 27, 1958, in Fort Worth to Clifford and Barbara Spakes Sammons. She graduated from Carter Riverside High School in Fort Worth in 1976. She married James E. Wilkerson Sr. on Oct. 12, 1976. She worked as a supervisor for the Army Air Force Exchange Service in Waco for the past eight years.
Survivors: Her husband, James E. Wilkerson Sr.; daughter, Amanda Wilkerson; sons, James Wilkerson Jr. and Aaron Wilkerson, all of Waco; mother, Barbara Sammons of Fort Worth; father, Clifford Sammons of Garland; mother-in-law, Jerry Wilkerson of Haslet; father-in-law, Vergil Wilkerson of Godley; sister, Brenda Bellamy of Galena, Kan.; brother, Clifford Sammons Jr. of Riverside; grandmother, Ida Spakes of Burleson; and grandchildren, Chad, Colton, Matthew and Alysa.
