Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 10, 2024.
Suzanne Matthews, born on April 9, 1946, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024, in Moreno Valley, California. Suzanne's life was marked by her deep love for family, her passion for the arts, and her unwavering compassion for others.

After graduating from Temple High School in 1964, Suzanne moved to Puert Rico then to Upland, California, in 1976, where she pursued further education at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga. Her life was enriched by her love for nature, often finding joy in camping, off-roading, and fishing. Suzanne was also an avid visitor of museums and expressed her creativity through painting and sculpting. Her appreciation of the culinary arts created pleasure of trying new foods at various restaurants throughout southern California.

Suzanne's heart was as vast as her interests. She was known for her humor and her deep care for those in need. Her daily prayers included a list of people she had met throughout her life, and she continued to pray for them even after their prayers were answered.

She is survived by her brother, Curtis Hebert and her beloved children, Steven Morgan and Jennifer Matthews, who were the center of her world. Suzanne was a cherished grandmother to five grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

A celebration of Suzanne's life will be held on December 14, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at her home in Moreno Valley, California. Her family invites all who knew her to join in honoring her memory and celebrating the remarkable life she led.

Suzanne Matthews will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
