BROWN SUMMIT — Ms. Taylor McCaskill, 18, died Saturday February 13, 2010.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Forbis and Dick Funeral Home, N. Elm St. Chapel with Rev. Terry Moody officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.
Taylor was born on July 1, 1991 in Guilford County. She was a 2009 graduate of Northeast Guilford High School and worked at Plato's Closet.
Survivors include her mother Laura Wilkes and Guy Durso of the home; father Robert Dale McCaskill of Greensboro; her boyfriend Kyle Bruckner; maternal grandparents Bill and Sandra Rumley of Brown Summit; paternal grandparents Bobby and Mary Lynn McCaskill; great grandmother Peggy Lambert and many aunts, uncle and cousins that loved her.
Memorial contributions may be made to S.P.C.A., 3163 Hines Chapel Rd. Greensboro, N.C. 27405.
She loved to sparkle and will always be a bright and shining star.

My name is Mallory. My boyfriend, Adam introduced me to Taylor. I got to hang out with her about 3 times. I thought she was very sweet, and enjoyed seeing her at Platoes Closet. Late night fishing with Taylor and some friends was one of the most best times I've had. That night, Taylor and I were talking while fishing, and all the sudden she said, '' OMG OMG I think I got a fish!'', and she did. It was her first fish she'd ever caught. I'm happy I got to witness that exciting moment of hers. I can't wait to say hello to her again when it's my time to go to heaven. God bless all of Taylors Family and close friends.

To Everyone who loved Taylor I want to say I pray for you everyday. My heart hurts for you . I want so badly to do something to help you with your grief. When people we love are hurting it is natural to want to make it better. Laura, I remember when you were a little girl and I could see so much of that in Taylor. Even though her little life was taken so soon she loved and was loved more than most people can imagine. Taylor was a joy to have in my Medical Careers class. She could try my patience at times but that was just the fact that she was so full of life that it was hard to contain it for very long and it was hard to get upset with her. She always brought a smile to my face. Taylor along with Natalie, Abby & Stephanie would hang out in my class room most days during lunch. She reminded me a lot of myself because when I was young all I wanted to do was do it all & see it all. I did not want to be tied down to any one thing. Now she can see it all from heaven and do it all with Jesus. We will all miss her, but I think that she would want us to celebrate her life and remember the joy she brought to every life that she touched. I will never forget her. Love always Ms "P"
