Theodora Smith Obituary
May 13, 2025. Born on January 18, 1961, in Gary, Indiana, Theodora was the youngest child of the late Leroy Smith and Ellen Smith (Jones). She was a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1978. Her life was defined by quiet strength, grace, and an unwavering commitment to her family. She was preceded in death by her siblings Eunice Smith and Charles Leon Smith, and her beloved son Corey Ferguson. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Leroy (Faye) Smith and Clarence Smith, both of Gary, Indiana , Jerome Smith of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Bergilla Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio . Theodora leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her five children: Corey Ferguson (deceased), father of Kiara Ferguson and Corey Ferguson, Teson Brooks of Gary, Indiana, father of Ti'arra Brooks and Teson Brooks ,Tanesha Brooks, mother of Justin Randal Cunningham Jr. , Ta'Neyah Londyn Cunningham , and Te'Yanna Jayla Bailey of Mobile, Alabama, Dominique Smith of Tempe, Arizona, father of Nahla Smith, Amara Smith, and Zavia Smith,Ladorah Smith of Tempe, Arizona, mother of Niyah Smith .She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, each of whom was touched by her love, kindness, and selfless heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 11:00 AM at Powell-Coleman Funeral Home
