Mr. Theodore Van Dyke, 86, of Bostic, died Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at Britthaven in Morganton.

He was a native of Rutherford County, was a WWII US Army veteran and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo Van Dyke and 3 children. Surviving are 9 Van Dyke children, 22 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren. Also, 10 McCurry children, preceded in death by 1 McCurry child, also surving 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 2 Sisters and 3 brothers survive.

There will be a Graveside Service at 3:00 PM Friday, January 13, 2006 at Golden Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Cook and Rev. Jack Upton will officiate. The body will lie in state at the graveside, for one hour prior to the service. The Rutherford County Veterans Council Honor Guard will render military rites.

The family will be at the residence of Mark Van Dyke, at 7165 Bostic Sunshine Highway, Golden Valley.

Memorials may be made to the Golden Valley UMC Cemetery Fund, % Johnny McCurry, 3408 NC Hwy 226, Bostic, NC 28018.
