Theresa M. Mancuso

Theresa M. Mancuso, 91, Carbondale, died Friday at Carbondale Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center after an illness. Her husband of 71 years is Frank J. Mancuso.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Sam and Josephine Gentile Cost, Theresa was a wonderful cook who enjoyed preparing large quantities of delicious Italian food for family and friends. She was loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest source of pride and joy were her two devoted daughters, four grandsons and two great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two daughters, Barbara (Gerry) Caucci, Apalachin, N.Y.; and Debra (Dr. Thomas) Oven, Vestal, N.Y.; four grandsons, Dr. Michael (Ana) Caucci, Tennessee; Dr. Thomas Oven, New York; Dr. Steven Oven, Philadelphia; and Brian (Megan) Oven, New York; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Melissa Caucci; two sisters, Lillian Henning, New York; and Bertine Bradley, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews, including Robert (Cathy) Henning, Saundra (Joseph) Brady and Sam (Carol) Cost.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Sam Cost Jr.; and a sister, Viola Goffredo.

The funeral will be Monday from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
