Thomas Little Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 14, 2024.
He was born November 21, 1945, in New London, CT, to Genevieve and John Little. He departed for the West Coast in 1978 with his wife, Bonnie Little, landing in Santa Rosa, California. He was a capable carpenter and firm believer in the union. He was a kind father, patient listener, and full of brilliant unsolicited advice. He married Bonnie Little in 1966 and they had four children, Brad, Richard, Amy, and Cathy. He treasured his family and friends, problem solved, and enjoyed reading novels by the river. Before he was spinal cord injured in 1990, he enjoyed dancing. When he wasn't baking cookies or making a stew, he was imparting some life lesson in an accessible way. He loved to gaze at Arch Rock at Goat Rock Beach, California. Tom died November 12, 2023, at home. He was 77.

Thomas is survived by his two daughters, Amy Little and Cathy Little; siblings, Edward Little and Joan Little; grandchildren Lucas Birnie, Audrey Cookman, and Alex Cookman; and good friends, whom he adored. He is preceded in death by Brad Little, Richard Little, Bonnie Little, and brother Gary Little. He will be deeply missed.

I am very sad to hear of Toms passing After his spinal cord injury he joined the SRJC Adapted PE swim class. I enjoyed being his swim teacher... but of course, he taught me way more than I taught him. I was sad when he moved north. We kept in touch for a bit.. I had babies - life got busy... But I always wondered how he was doing and have lovely memories of our time in the pool together!
