Thomas Donald Porth, 56, of Scranton, died Monday at VNA Hospice at Geisinger Community Medical Center. His wife of 27 years is Leslie Ann Howey Porth.

Born in New York City, son of the late Thomas Porth and Carol Simon, he was a graduate of North Pocono High School and a Navy veteran. Thomas enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and coloring. He was a loving husband and father who will be deeply missed.

Also surviving are his children, Nicole Lynn Porth Gardner, Scranton; Thomas Anthony Porth, Ohio; Michael Allen Porth, Coal Twp.; Christopher Wolfe Lynn, Scranton; Jessie Ann Porth, Carbondale; and Sharon Porth Carrick, Honesdale; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Peter Porth, Robert and Mark Simon; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by a son, James Porth.

The funeral service will be Thursday at 9 p.m. in the Davies and Jones Funeral Chapel, 135 S. Main Ave., Scranton. Interment, private at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call Thursday from 6 until time of service.
