DeeAnn, I am so sorry to hear about Tommy. You and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers over the past several days. When thinking back, I have known you and Tommy for over 40 years. I still have fond memories of Una Pizza and eating there almost every Saturday. Those are times I'll never forget and I'm so glad to have kept our friendship over the past 40+ years. Tommy was a great man that will be lost but never forgotten. God bless you and your family.

I am heart broken to hear this. Tommy was one of my first customers when Oasis Tanning was located where the current Walgreens is now on Frederica. I've known him many years and tanned at Oasis too. He was such a special guy! It was a joy and privilege to know him. I'm sorry I couldn't be at the visitation. May you Rest In Peace, sweet Tommy.

My condolences to the entire Rice family.
He was one of a kind.
Never a dull moment at PizzAroma with our crew.
Then I would occasionally need a dose of vitamin D and stop in the Oasis. It was always great to catch up with Tommy and Deann. To the boys; he would light up talking about you guys and show pictures. His love for his family has always been impeccable.
God bless you all.

DeeAnn, I don't get to Owensboro very much, and every time I go in Owensboro I try find Tommy, I think last time I was talking to him on phone, the time before that Tommy and me had lunch at Old Hickory. Known him since 1974, so we had all kind of projects. Definitely going to miss his smile and his humor, RIP

My sweet friend Dee Ann my heart breaks for you and your families broken hearts at the loss of your precious Tommy, the love of your life. Father and grandfather. No one knows the depths of the loss you truly are feeling. I am so sorry you guys did not get to spend your golden years together, cut short way too soon. One thing I know is you had a man who loved you dearly and know he was so very loved by you. I remember when you guys started dating oh so may ions ago. I remember the last thing he said to you nonchalantly as we were visiting looking at purses at the shop. He come through and was on his way out the door, said be back soon but last words was I love you. That stuck with me, how special to have someone that figured they would see their loved one in a short time but didn't take time for granted and wanted you to know he loved you, that's a special man and person. Know life had its ups and downs but you two stuck together like super glue, can't imagine the numbness, pain and emptiness you are feeling with such a gaping hole in your heart, with such a loss that just overtook you both. Knowing you will cherish the memories and hang onto them and praise God you got plenty of them, that you can take solace in. Don't rush yourself let yourself grieve and go through the process for it will take time but it's okay. I am here for you when and if you ever just need someone to listen 24/7. So many thought the world of your Tommy. He made a-positive impact on those he just met and for sure those who had the opportunity to know him and everyone can't say that about a loved one. He is home now, with His Heavenly Father, His creator, remember He just exchanged addresses and He has received Bis eternal reward where we all omg to be around the throne of God worshi our King, Jesus. Soon and very soon we are all going home, so take comfort in this and he is no longer suffering, no more pain and no more tears. I love you Dee Ann. Rest In Peace Tommy Rice.
