Triston Joseph Gray

April 1, 1997 - February 2, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share that Triston Joseph Gray left his earthly home and stepped into the arms of Jesus on February 2, 2025, in Roy, Utah. While his time here was far too short, we take comfort in knowing this is not goodbye but a "see you later," trusting in God's promise that we will be together again.

He was born and raised in Roy, Utah, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. A beloved son, brother, and friend, he was born on April 1, 1997, to a loving mother Becky Lynn Rose who always dreamed of a first-born son and his devoted father, William (Billy) Joseph Gray II. From the very start, he embraced his role as the firstborn, fiercely protecting and guiding his younger siblings with love.

Triston had an infectious laugh and a heart full of kindness and joy. His energy was contagious, and he had a special way of connecting with everyone he met, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.

He was passionate about football, playing from pee-wee league through high school, where he proudly earned a spot on the varsity team. A diligent student, he graduated with high honors from Roy High School in 2015 and later earned his associate degree in welding and went on to work at Jackson's.

Beyond his accomplishments, he had a true talent for working with his hands. He was an amazing carpenter, and found joy in building and creating, even crafting a coop for his chickens. Whether it was woodworking or another hobby, he loved big and poured his heart into everything he did. If he liked something, he fully immersed himself in it, learning everything he could and perfecting every detail.

He enjoyed the simple things in life, whether it was fishing, shooting guns, riding electric scooters, or listening to music and making it in his dad's studio. More than anything, he loved being surrounded by family and friends. Christmas was his favorite time of year because he loved spending time with family, cooking with his mom, laughing, and making memories with the people he loved most.

One of his greatest joys was his beloved fur baby, Dosia, a silver Lab who came into his life during a difficult time. From that moment on, they were inseparable. True to her name, meaning 'Gift from God' in Polish, Dosia brought him comfort, companionship, and unconditional love. Their bond was unbreakable, a testament to his big heart and the love he had for those closest to him.

More than anything, Triston loved his people. He was a protector, a friend, and a light to those around him. His faith was evident in the way he cared for others, and though our hearts are broken, we find peace knowing he is now home with the Lord.

Triston is survived by his mother Becky Rose (Dustin), father Billy Gray, his two brothers, Tyrell Gray and Chance Hawks, grandparents Kenneth Rose (Gaylene), Marsha Wardell, aunts and uncles Shayne Rose, Kimberly Rose, Jodee Baird (Travis), Christine Barnes (Travis), Jeremy Rose, and Stacey Wardell (Cody) on his moms side and Sharron Anderson (Edward) and Amy Gray Slocumb on his dads side in addition to many cousins and close friends.

He is preceded in death by grandparents William and Anna Gray, and uncle Jordan Leon Wardell.

A celebration of Triston's life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at his aunt Jodee's house, 1475 N Highway 89, Harrisville, UT 84404. While we grieve his loss, we find comfort knowing he is at peace and surrounded by love. In honor of Triston, we invite you to join us in sharing memories, laughter, and love as we celebrate his life and the joy he brought to so many people.

Though Triston is no longer with us, his love, laughter, and strong spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. Until we meet again, may he rest in peace.
