Wanda Carter Obituary
She was born in Oakland, CA, on January 7, 1955 to the late Verlin Pressley and Troy Wilcox. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her brothers Benny Wilcox and Charles Wilcox, sisters Gladys Petty and Beverly Carter. She is survived by her husband Leon Carter, her daughters Mandy Mahan (Brian) of Longview, TX and Angela Griffin (Patrick) of Nash, TX her son Scotty Pressley (Leslie) of Lebanon, TN. There is 7 grandchildren Amanda, Joshua, Cody, Christopher, Devin, Aaron and Ean and 7 great grandchildren.
Wanda was a free spirit and enjoyed life to the fullest, enjoying traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Mom believed in the lord and is in heaven as you read these words. We thank you all for your prayers and calls during her journey home. She knew she was loved.

My husband, David and I have known Wanda since we were all teenagers. All our running around town, going skating, movies, pool hall, swimming in the river. She was a one of a kind and we loved her. Condolences to all your family. We loved her.

I have so many wonderful memories of my Wanda... We were blessed to have her after my grandmother (Beverly Carter) passed when I was a young teen. Wanda became my bonus grandma some time ago and helped fill the void of my grandmothers passing, but she became my BEST FRIEND in the last few years. I am so grateful to have got so close to her and share so many wonderful memories. She shared so many memories of my grandma Bev with me that I never knew, she always made me laugh, and kept me on my toes. I'll cherish our secret talks and crazy moments forever. She will be in my heart forever and I will never let her memory fade. I love you My Wanda!!!!

Wanda June my Sister in law you will be missed! We had so many good times back in our early years, we sure used to make some Homemade Biscuits together every morning didn't we! And Lordy the weekends over at the Wagon Wheel, we did some partying an dancing! You always had a smile for everyone, love you sweet sister in law, you will be truly missed! You Rest In Peace Now, many condolences and loads of love to Leon Carter, such a good man, to Angie, Scotty and Mandy Jo, my thoughts an prayers are with you!
