Wayne SIMPSON Obituary
Suddenly on January 6, 2013, Mr. Wayne Simpson of Edmonton left his earthly body and was promoted into Glory to join his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Wayne was 40 Years of age.
Wayne leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 12 years Muriel and their daughter Olivia. He is survived by his father Reverend O.G. (Eliza) Simpson; his brother Barrington (Geraldine); his sister Genieve; niece Shalice and nephew JoVaughn, aunts, uncles, cousins, mother-in-law Elaine Welch, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law and dear friend Allan Santos. Wayne will be greatly missed by his church family at Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic.
Wayne was predeceased by his mother Pearline Simpson on June 20, 2005.
A visitation for Wayne will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 between 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic, 9950 - 148 Street, Edmonton which will be immediately followed by a tribute service at 6:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at West Edmonton Christian Assembly, 6315-199 Street, Edmonton with Reverend Michael Grange officiating.
Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Gardens, 16410 Stony Pain Road.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Wayne's name to the Pearline L. Simpson Scholarship Fund c/o Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic.

This prayer has always given me comfort in very challenging times. I hope it will do the same for your family. I am just learning of your passing. I left Edmonton a long time ago but I still remember when we were young and the only picture that I have of you, you were probably around eight in your blue soccer uniform with one foot perched on top of the soccer ball and a big smile on your face. You always loved to smile. Words cannot express my deepest sympathy. My heartfelt condolences to Pastor Simpson, Barry, Genieve and your family. Gone too soon.

I recall Wayne with a happy genuine smile when I lived next door to "Jesus" church I used to listen to the choir practice from outside & the strong beat of those drums played by Wayne I recall one afternoon as the choir was finishing up practice and I was outside doing yard work Wayne was leaving and he & I shared a conversation I asked him how come the choir was SO joyful and SO loud he told me this and I will never forget it... he told me we play for Jesus ! Well now Jesus has the best heavely drum player in Heaven. To the entire Simpson family my sincere condolences from my heart and prayers of COURAGE, STRENGTH & LOVE.

I just heard of Wayne passing, my sincere heartfelt condolences to the entire Simpson family. Wayne was a genuine person whom loved Jesus & all his family within Bethel. Wayne cared for all, I am certain that Jesus and the Angels are dancing to the beat of those drums he could play and Heaven is a better place! Pastor Simpson you did well as a Father and mentor ... you should be proud!!

My brother my friend my mentor. I'm saddened that you left me so soon. I thought I would be able to deal with it but I can't. I'm hurt, I'm upset but as God took mom from us then you, I realize He's picking out the best. Olivia is keeping us entertained as usual. I moved across the street to the other office building from where Wayne worked and wondered if I knew Wayne at least by sight…then I remembered! A big man with a smile on his face always and from what I read, what a legacy he left behind! You never know who you impact and influence in your journey here on earth and is a reminder to me that wherever God places us, He intends to bless us to be a blessing. I worked with Wayne years ago and am so sorry to hear of your loss. He was such a kind soul and an amazing man with a rich and warm sense of humour. I had the distinct privilege of working with Wayne when he first came to the WCB. He was a walking smile, never a negative word to say and so proud of you Olivia. I will miss crossing paths with him as we both headed off to our desks. It hurts to loose a precious loved one. We are sad to hear of the passing of Wayne and understand the grief agony and pain.What I remember of Wayne is that he always bow with a smile saying hi mom.
