Wayne Tucker, Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 11, 2018.

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever."  Psalm 23 KJV

Mr. Wayne Kevin Oliver Tucker, Jr., affectionately known as "Wayne Head and/or Weezy", of 933 Rome Street, Petersburg, VA, left us to be the Lord on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. Wayne was born January 6, 1986 to Arnita R. Scott-Williams and Wayne K.O. Tucker, Sr.

Wayne attended Petersburg Public Schools, where he was an honor roll student.  He was known to be good with his hands and there was nothing he couldn't fix. Especially cars to include his most recently purchased.   He was a devoted worker of Labor Ready Staffing, and worked numerous jobs throughout the Tri-Cities Area.

Wayne was a father, son, brother, cousin, and a dear friend to many. Wayne loved the outdoors, and was a people person. He was well known and loved by everyone.  He loved to help people in anyway necessary even if he didn't have it. Wayne had an UNCONDITIONAL love for his parents, sisters, brother and even his friends. He enjoyed making people laugh with his favorite sayings,  "Yo-yo-yo-yo" and other funny comments.  Wayne also loved fried chicken, burgers and fries.

Wayne was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Vernell Williams-Scott and Delores Tucker; grandfather, Samuel Tucker and an uncle, Akeim Easter.

Wayne leaves a legacy of cherished memories: daughter, Zyonna Tucker (mother Lashelle ); mother, Arnita R. Scott-Williams; father, Wayne K.O. Tucker, Sr.; sisters, Kawanda Tucker (Moe), Lamour Tucker (ReRun), brother; Isaiah Tucker (Georgina); devoted girlfriend, Keisha Roney and children; stepsons, Malik, Boonk and Pie-Pie; grandfather, Washington Scott, Sr.; aunts, Velva Walker (Kevin), Paulette Edmonds, Courtney Barcliff; uncles, Washington Scott, Jr. (Faith), Jerry Chavis, Victor Jackson, Larry Tucker, Terrance Tucker (Barbara), devoted Gary Tucker (Pamela) and Craig Tucker (Nicole); great aunt, Sharon Trimmer; great-great aunts, Beulah Williams and Nazarine Jones; nieces and nephews, Zamoreion, Zaleioun, and Derrionna;  a devoted step-father, Gilbert Williams; god-daughter, K'Mani Williams; god-brother, Dre Lofton; god-sister, Ashley Williams; a host of devoted cousins and friends to name a few: Nitty, Stink, J-Rock, Kerob, Tyrell Clanton, Christi Moots, Travis and Buck Lynch, Candi and Frazett Cates and family, Aunt Krissy and family, Aunt Jewel and family and the 5th Ward Homies.

Wayne was one of a kind in his own way.  He will be truly be missed.

This has been a rough time in my life. Although, I know you're in a good place, you are truly missed. Only god knows how much I love you and wish I was able to call your phone just to kick it. However, you and I know I will always be able to hear your voice, as we have two very good songs together. My brother, you were taken from us very early, but you're thought about on a daily basis. The times we've shared will always be remembered. Your spirit will always be with each and every one of us. May your soul rest in peace and remember... You're Gone But Not Forgotten!!! Peace and Love My Brother!!!

This loss is one that hit the hardest for your brother and I. You were such a Joy to have in my life as my brother. Your smile was contagious. I will will always remember the good times and the love you brought to others. This world lost a real one, but Heaven gained a Angel. We will love you forever Wayne. I pray you have peace. We will never forget you brother. We will never understand why God took you from us, but we pray and hope that your peace is worth it all. RIP Wayne. See you in the clouds one day.

Love Always,

I truly can say you are well missed, as days go by, it just seems so unreal, son, you're in a better place, you were always a person of great giving, I remember the times when you worked at Fort Pickett, you would come to the house with the food and say Mom , you ALWAYS feed the Homeless and hungry, so IT'S on me today, I'LL laugh and say son you are so crazy and surely I would cry so hard laughing, people would come get breakfast, I'LL never forget, Ham, hash browns, Corn beef hash, eggs and fried potatoes with buttered biscuits, this was so nice, I love you son ALWAYS in my thoughts everyday!!
