Tacoma, Washington - William (Billy) Pease was born February 10, 1952 in Tacoma, WA. Bill's lifelong passion was playing guitar and he was well known in the Tacoma music community. He grew up in S. Tacoma and attended Arlington, Gray, and Mount Tahoma ('70). He played baseball and football at the South End Boys Club.
Bill is predeceased by his parents Art and Deloris, son Jesse, and brother Donald. He is survived by his sister Virginia Dees; aunt Sharon Davenport; nephew Christian Pease; nieces Ambrossia Leach, Autumn Eriksen, Erin Meinershagen, and Lauren Dees; extended family, and lifelong friends.
Billy will be remembered for his musical talent and gifted guitar playing. He was a member of several bands throughout his life, including: The Gray Pilots, Billy the Kid, Sneaky Sam's Lamb, Cliff Lizards & the Amazing Condors, Flashback, Crossfire, Lace, and Stephen James & The Young Bodies. Though he suffered from addiction most of his adult life, Bill always had an infectious laugh and gentle, caring soul.
A celebration of Billy's life will take place on Sunday, March 26 from 2-6 pm at The Golden West Restaurant & Lounge, where Bill often played. It is located at 5228 S Tacoma Way. Memorial gifts can be made to The Tacoma Rescue Mission, Tacoma Nativity House, or the Boys and Girls Club of South Puget Sound.
