WILLIAM J. "BILL" THEODORE

THEODORE, William J. "Bill" Age 76, of Boxford, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital. Born in New Jersey to Sophie and James Theodore, he lived most of his life in NY, NY and Boxford, MA. Bill was a passionate man who enjoyed his work and family immensely. Bill worked for NBC's Nightly News and Today Show from 1967 through 2005 in various roles, including Producer and Bureau Chief. During his tenure he covered some of the most important events of the late 20th century. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, cooking, entertaining, basketball and watching TV, especially the Celtics. Bill leaves behind his wife and best friend Jane, of Boxford, MA; his two sons, James, of Stoneham, MA, Brian of NY, NY; his daughter in-laws, Michelle and Andrea, as well as, his grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan and Madeline. He is also survived by his sister, Ruby Raikin and brother Martin Schimdt, as well as his many loving sisters in-laws, brother in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. His Funeral Service will be held in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 8 Lafayette Rd., IPSWICH, on Monday at 10 A.M. The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, March 19th from 4-7 P.M. and Sunday, March 20th from 2-5 P.M in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte 62) DANVERS.
