THOMPSON William Y. Thompson, 87, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017. Bill served our country for 22 years retiring from the U.S. Marine Corps. He also retired from civil service having worked at NAS Jax. Bill was an avid bowler and golfer and loved his fishing too. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sally Dana Thompson; his daughter, Debra Danyus (Michael); 2 sons, Russell Thompson (Anita) and Mark Thompson (Patricia); 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 15th at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Graveside services with Military Honors will follow the visitation 12 Noon Wednesday at Arlington Park Cemetery.

I was so sorry to learn of Bill's passing today. While I did not know him as well as I have you Sally it was always obvious how much you loved him. So many years have passed and so quickly it sometimes seems like just yesterday we sat at the Limo service eating a big helping of Chinese take out !

Thank the Lord you have a large and loving family to lean on.
