LIMA — Bruce R. Segovia, 63, born September 18, 1958, left this world for his Heavenly home December 10, 2021 after a hard-fought battle with covid.
Surviving is his loving wife of 42 years, Tammy, along with their two sons, David (Mallory) Segovia and John Segovia. He was the best "Pop" to his grandchildren Aniyah, Adelynn and Norah. Son of Lavonne, brother of Ralph (Ronica) Segovia, Mary (Wayne) Frantz, Cheryl (Paul) Vagts, Lynnita (TR) Knoch, brother-in-law to Rita (James) Barber and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph "Rudy" Segovia and grandparents Reynaldo and Leonor Hernandez Segovia and Lee and Minerva Osmon.
Bruce's biggest passion was his family who will greatly miss his laughter and hugs. He loved the outdoors and often spoke fondly of growing up at his Grandpa Osmon's farm. Bruce always helped others ahead of himself without hesitation. He was very artistic, could make or fix anything and was a wonderful cook who loved gardening, 70's music and a good game of Euchre.
Bruce was a proud US Navy veteran, Scout Master/Order of the Arrow, Patriot life member of the NRA, life member of the North American Hunting and Fishing clubs, President and life member of Van Wert County Outdoorsman Association, life member of the Tri-State Gun Collectors, member of the National Notary Association, alumni of Lima Technical College, member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, and volunteer at St. Rita's auxiliary. He had worked at Tilton Corp., General Dynamics, and for the last 32 years at International Tank Service.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.

I am so, so, sorry to hear about Bruce! I am sure you are all hurting. I myself still can't believe it. Bruce was a good friend, through the good and the bad times. My only regret is not having spent more time with him. I always planned on having another campout with him and another deer hunt. Bruce and I had some real fun together and a heck of a lot of laughs. I will miss his laugh! I will buy a tree next spring and plant it for him. I know how important trees, we're to him. Right now I I am thinking Bruce Spruce!

Bruce, you were a quiet man, but when you spoke, you had wisdom, love, compassion, honesty, and humility. You always shared with me, and any time I'd see you, you had a hug for me. I'll miss you, and to your family, may you heal in time from this loss.
