Charles Leidy Obituary
WEST CHESTER -- Charles M. Leidy, age 92, of West Chester, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday August 17, 2025 at Barrington of West Chester. Charles was born on May 6, 1933 in New York, New York, the son of Harold and Gwendolyn (nee VanBuskirk) Leidy.
Known as Charley or Chuck to his friends and customers, he helped many people through his work as a stock broker, retiring from AG Edwards. Very community service oriented, he was a past president of the Lima Ohio Rotary Club, past member of the Board of Education for Lima City Schools, a partner at the Sugarcreek Golf Course in Lima Ohio, and a past trustee for the Lima Area Arts Council, Lima Memorial Hospital Foundation, and Mercy Home Health Care, as well as the founder of the West Central Ohio BGSU Alumni Association. In his free time, he loved to play golf.
Charley was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rita, his parents, and his sister Beth.
He leaves behind his daughters Elizabeth Ann (Wes) Jacobs and Jeanne (John) Jenks, grandson Adam (Katie) Crawford, great-grandchildren Melanie, Teddy, and Lynette Crawford, as well as many other family members and friends.
