LIMA -- Frank Owen Hunt, 89, of Lima, passed away June 16, 2022, at 2:07 pm, Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, with his loving wife by his side. Frank was born April 6, 1933 in Lima, to Roy and Lucinda (Smith) Hunt, who preceded him in death. On September 27, 1952, he married Jackie (LeProwse) Hunt, who survives him in Lima. Frank graduated from St. Gerard High School in 1951 and he worked at Westinghouse for over 42 years. He was a life member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and he was an avid golfer. Frank loved to fish, listen to music, especially classical music, and he was a history buff, particularly WWII history. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially attending his grandchildren and now great-grandchildren's events. Frank will be remembered for his kind heart, wonderful sense of humor and he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. In addition to his wife of almost 70 years, Frank is survived by his children, Christine (David) Rodabaugh of Lima, Diane (Ronald) Hunt Roberts of San Luis Obispo, CA, David Hunt of Baltimore, OH, Richard Hunt of Columbus, OH, Brian Hunt of Bellefontaine, OH and Bob (Julie) Hunt of Hilliard, OH; grandchildren, Katie (Wes) Campbell of Lima, Ashley Rodabaugh of San Francisco, CA, Alex Rodabaugh of Brooklyn, NY, Cordelia Roberts of Goleta, CA, Jordan Roberts of Boston, MA, Amber Hunt of New Zealand and Melinda Hunt of Columbus, OH; great-grandchildren, Tristan Campbell and Brennan Campbell, both of Lima and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Richard (Anne) Hunt, Norma (Frank) Zupan, Roger (Joan) Hunt, Peggy (Bill) Newcomer and Bob (Peggy) Hunt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Father Mike Sergi to officiate. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 20, 2022 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Shawnee Chapel. A Prayer Service will be held at 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Uncle Frank will be missed by everyone. I truly loved Uncle Frank. I have many fond memories of him especially when I used to just drop in visit. There is no doubt Jesus welcomed him with open arms.

I didn´t know Frank very well but I do know that he was a gentle and kind man.
