HAROLD CARTWRIGHT
LIMA — Harold Stanton Cartwright "Hoss", 83, died January 19, 2014 at Shawnee Manor. His family is very appreciative of the kindness and care he received from Michele Bice at his home and while living at Elmcroft and Shawnee Manor. Harold was born February 17, 1930 in Gallia County, Ohio to Frank and Nevada (Turner) Cartwright Ball who preceded him in death.
Harold had been married to Bonnie Denny Hendershot who survives. On August 5, 1961 he married Gloria Gene (Glancy) Cartwright who passed in 1993. In 1995 he married B.J. Thomas-Cartwright who passed in 2007.
Mr. Cartwright retired from Giddings and Lewis (Warner and Swasey) after 34 years. He was a member of the Lima Eagles, Elks and Trinity United Methodist church.
Hoss will be remembered by his family and friends as a man who loved his dogs, creative cooking, traveling, cruises, golfing, gardening and fishing; especially at Lake Erie and North Bay, Ontario, Canada. We will always remember his quick witted "one liners".
Survivors include children: Kathi (Don) Cruz of Massillon, Ohio; Deborah (Barry) Ambroza of Fort Jennings, Ohio; Greg Hughes of Topeka, Kansas and Damon (Pam) Hughes of Kenton, Ohio.
He is also survived by nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.
