Janine Dorn Obituary
LIMA -- Janine Marie Dorn, age 72, of Lima, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Van Wert Manor.
Janine was born September 7, 1951, in Lima, to Earl and Marge (Rohr) Tippie who preceded her in death.
On September 2, 1972, she married Philip Benson Dorn who preceded her in death on January 10, 2024.
Surviving are their children: Marcus (Karen) Dorn of Pickerington, OH, and Amber (Brian) Fox of Lithia, FL; their grandchildren; Brendan Miller, Kenzie Fox, Amanda Cortes and Sophia Cortes; and her siblings: Ned (Margaret) Tippie of Springfield, OH, and Diana (Fred) Teeters of Brawley, CA.
She was a 1969 graduate of Lima Senior High School and graduated with a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University. She had been a teacher for First Assembly of God, where she was a member. She was an amazing saxophone player, receiving the John Philip Sousa award and a pianist.
Visitation for Janine will be on Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services.

To Janine´s family,
Janine was a kind and humble servant of Jesus. A true believer who showed her faith by example as she walked through daunting physical challenges. I admired her immensely. We attended church together at Lima´s First Assembly of God when Pastor Jerry Hall was the pastor. Now, she has reached Heaven´s shores. Still, I am so deeply sorry for her loved ones left behind. Prayers for peace, until you see her again!
