He was born April 16, 1952 in Lima to Donald and Patricia (McBride) Roethlisberger. His father is deceased, his mother survives in Columbus Grove. On November 20, 1990 he married Donna Horn who survives in Columbus Grove.

Also surviving are four children: Matthew Roethlisberger and Christopher (Melanie) Roethlisberger both of Columbus Grove, Dawn Rummel, and Melissa Roethlisberger both of Lima; two stepchildren: Sean (Nicole) Saunders of Columbus and Nicole (Mike) Salvatori of Lancaster; ten grandchildren; a brother: David Roethlisberger of Spencerville; and his beloved dog: Benny.

He was also preceded in death by a sister: Sandra Fitch.

Michael retired from Ford Motor Company, Lima in 2003.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Columbus Grove with Sean Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
